ANC-5C Monthly Meeting Tuesday, February 21st

What: Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5C Monthly Meeting

When: Tuesday, February 21st, 2006 from 7pm - 9pm

Where: Harry Thomas Recreation Center, 1743 Lincoln Road, NE

Invited guests include representatives from the following: Howard University’s Center for Urban Progress, Reference: Update on CUP's Lead Poisoning Prevention Efforts; H Street Community Development Corporation Proposal, Reference: Update on Consolidated PUD on 4th Street NE Property; Metropolitan Police Department, Reference: Public Safety Report

  1. What was the H Street CDC doing at your meeting?

  2. Good question (though it's not my ANC - I'm in 5A). From the minutes (5C has a very well organized website; I wish the others would follow suit), it looks like they were there to discuss "...the review and approval of a consolidated Planned Unit Development/PUD for property located on the east side of 4th Street, NE b/w Rhode Island and Bryant..." - perhaps that's the empty lot in front of National Wholesale Liquidators? Still, it does seem odd that they're this far north.

  3. Indeed, it is the empty lot in front of NWL. See the 2/27 post and links, along with Richard's comment about the H Street CDC.
