2 More Children Missing FOUND in NE

**UPDATE** from WUSA9:

Missing siblings 4-year-old Wali McJunkin and 15-year-old Chantryce Johnson have been found safe.

The brother and sister were located, apparently safe and healthy, at a location on Rhode Island Avenue NE, this afternoon. DC police officials are reuniting the two children with the parents. Their mother told 9NEWS NOW that she planned to hug them and kiss them, and to get help for her daughter.

On WTOP this morning, Police Chief Cathy Lanier said police may have a lead in the case of missing siblings 4-year-old Wali McJunkin and 15-year-old Chantryce Johnson.

They have been missing since yesterday when Johnson picked up McJunkin at the Peaches 'N Cream Day Center located in the 300 block of Eastern Avenue, NE.

Police sources say Johnson has been listed as a runaway since September 22. She was spotted Wednesday for the first time when she picked up her little brother from daycare.

Police tell 9NEWS NOW that they have set up two command posts in the girl’s Southeast neighborhood and in the 300 block of Eastern Ave. NW at the daycare center.

The children’s mother, Gwen Johnson, tells 9NEWS NOW that she finds it difficult to eat or sleep with two of her children missing. She says the staff of Peaches 'N Cream Day Center should never have allowed a minor to take her son.

The mother of five children says she has tried everything she could to get help for the 15-year-old. She says, her daughter has run away eight times since December. She had her daughter in therapy prior to the disappearance.

Two 9-Year-Old Girls Missing FOUND; Last Seen in NE

WTOP is reporting that Brittany and Deasia have been found by PG County police.

The Metropolitan Police Department asked for the public's help in locating two missing 9-year-olds on Wednesday night.

Deasia Tashay Wooten and Brittany Bennett went missing from Rudolph Elementary School in D.C. around 3:17 p.m.

They were last seen at a McDonald's restaurant on South Dakota Avenue and Delafield Street.

Wooten is black with black hair in cornrows and brown eyes. Family said she is about 4 feet 7 inches or 4 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing a white shirt and blue jumper.

Bennett is black with a medium complexion. She is about 75 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She is 4 feet 5 inches and was wearing a white jacket with blue pants.

Police said anyone who locates the children should immediately call 911.

Missing Person: Victor Evans

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in attempting to locate a missing person identified as 21-year-old Victor Evans. Mr. Evans was reportedly last seen on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at approximately 5:35 pm at the Safeway store located in the 300 block of 40th Street, NE.

Victor Evans is described as a black male, 6’0” tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds. He is further described as having a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He was reportedly last seen wearing dark blue shorts and a dark blue shirt.

Carver-Langston Teenager Missing FOUND

**UPDATE** Tyesha Smith was found unharmed on Thursday night and police returned her to her family.

D.C. Police are asking for help locating a missing teenager. Fifteen-year-old Tyesha Renee Smith was last seen at about 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, in the 900 block of 19th Street, NE.

Police say she is described as a black female, medium complexion, 5'5", weighing 105 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

She was last seen wearing a white skirt and a pink and green shirt.

Missing Person: James Johnson

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person identified as James Johnson, who resides in Temple Hills, Maryland.

Following a doctor’s appointment, Mr. Johnson was last seen at about noon on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in the 1000 block of North Capitol Street, NE boarding Metrobus Number 80. Metrobus Number 80 travels northbound on North Capitol Street, NE and covers the route from North Capitol Street, NE to the area of Fort Totten, NE.

James Johnson is 69 years old. He is described as a dark complexioned black male, 5'7" tall, weighing approximately 147 pounds, with brown eyes, a grey mustache, and is bald with grey hair on the sides of his head. Reportedly, he was last seen wearing a short blue jacket, champagne colored pants, and a greenish orange colored shirt with stripes of an unkown color. He may appear to be disoriented and is in need of medication.

Missing Brookland Man's Body Pulled from the Anacostia

From MPD (though I never saw an initial missing persons' report):

Earlier today, a news release was issued misidentifying the body of an adult male recovered from the Anacostia River at approximately 3 pm yesterday, April 10, 2007 as a person reported missing on March 23, 2007. It has now been determined that this missing person was located and returned home.

The individual recovered yesterday from the Anacostia River is now identified as 49-year-old Rodney Lindsey of the 1000 block of Michigan Avenue, NE. Mr. Lindsey had been reported missing on April 7, 2007. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the DC. Medical Examiner.

NE Teen Missing Since Monday

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, identified as Altonio Herbert Johnson. He was last seen at approximately 9am, on Monday, April 2, 2007, leaving his residence located in the 100 block of 49th Place, NE.

Altonio Johnson is 13 years old. He is described as a medium complexion black male, 5’7” tall, weighing approximately 125 to 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and blue or white shirt.

7-Year-Old Missing in NE

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public's assitance in finding a missing 7-year-old boy.

Police said William Jones was last seen Tuesday at 8:30pm leaving his home in the 5000 block of Jay Street, NE.

Jones is described as a black male, 4 feet in height, weighing about 48 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing multicolored pants (red, white, blue), a multicolored shirt (red, white, blue), and a camouflage coat.

Missing Person: Tyrell Javar Fields

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person. Tyrell Javar Fields was reportedly last seen leaving his residence located in the 1700 block of Capitol Avenue, NE, at approximately 10pm Wednesday, February 14, 2007.

Tyrell Javar Fields is a 23 year old black male. He is described as being 6’3” tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds with a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He was reportedly last seen wearing gray sweat pants and a shirt of unknown color.

Teen Girl Missing from NE Home

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person identified as Cherita Gladden. She was last seen leaving her home address located in the 200 block of 35th Street, NE at about 8:00 am on Wednesday, October 4, 2006.

Cherita is fourteen years old. She is described as a dark complexioned black female, 5’2’ tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair worn in braids. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, a white jacket, blue and pink pants, and a Dallas Cowboys baseball cap.

Anyone who has information regarding Cherita Gladden’s whereabouts is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

Man Missing from NE

Missing Person: Jerome John Baker

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in attempting to locate a missing person. Jerome John Baker was reportedly last seen at approximately 8:30 am, on Monday, July 17, 2006, in the 400 block of W Street, NE.

Jerome John Baker is described as a black male, 48 years of age, 6'0" tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He is further described as having a dark complexion, brown eyes, black hair and a scar on his left cheek. He was reportedly last seen wearing blue jean shorts, a red baseball hat and black slippers. He is also said to use a black metal cane for walking.
