Also of note tonight at the Woodridge Library: The Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) is teaming up with the DC Public Library System and the Investor Protection Trust (IPT) to provide the Investor Education @ Your Library® seminars. The 60-minute seminar (7-8pm) includes a presentation on the regulation of securities by DISB, investor protection and education initiatives that can benefit District residents, and investor education exercises.   2. Sorry - first noted here. I don't really have a solid grip on the details (I need to get them from Ms. Lloyd), but I believe the conference is meant to inform the community about how the ANC operates. Maybe some info on how we can be better informed and involved? Once I get the details I'll be sure to post them. I do know that a large part of the reason it was postponed was because Mayor Williams' schedule was not open for the original date. At this point I assume that means he'll be there for at least a part of the conference (the original conference was to be from 8am-2pm).

  3. Well July 29th is my Florida Market tour, and I haven't decided if I'm going to attend the Nat. Assn. of Preservation Commissions meeting in Baltimore. If so, it means immediately after the tour hustling up to Baltimore.
